Just like the trees in the Northern Hemisphere that begin to slowly lose their leaves, it’s a great time to slow down and think about what we are thankful for as we get ready for a season of celebrating the birth of our Savior.

We would like to share what God has done this past year that we are truly thank for in the ministry. Rejoice with us! And we hope it inspires you to spend some time to reflect on this past year so far.

Giving Thanks

  • Time ministering with Pastor Sid in the Apache Reservations.
  • Hearts changed in Benin through a conference led by NMC, where children are being seen as God’s precious children.
  • Three new team members being School of Ministry certified to teach our Equipping the Next Generation module throughout the world.
  • For our Equipping the Next Generation module being translated into Spanish.
  • NMC is impacting not only children, but leaders and parents! God is softening their hearts and encouraging them to lead their children in His ways, so when they are older they will follow Him!Impacting generations now and to come!
  • Being able to financially bless ministries that support youth in South Africa, children in the Philippines and youth in the slums of Uganda.
  • God, we are so grateful for Your provision as we serve You and pour into the hearts of children around the world.
As we head into a New Year, we are hoping to accomplish some goals:

2025 Goals

See our Equipping the Next Generation module taught in Cuba and Costa Rica.
Assist Pastor Sid on the San Carlos Apache Reservation to strengthen and encourage the community. Visit 2-3 times with a team in 2025.
Add another 10 monthly supporters so we can teach and equip in more places.
Send out teachers twice next year to teach our Equipping the Next Generation module in East and West Africa.
We are always so grateful for you and the ways you partner with NMC.
The workers are few, but the harvest is plentiful.
Thank you for working with us to pour into the harvest.

Grateful,

The No More Crumbs Team

We are in awe of all God did in Benin to transform hearts! We ended up sending Leonard Ssemazzi to teach in Benin, which was definitely God’s plan for this nation. This update is a bit long but worth the read.

Day 1
On the first day of training pastors and children's workers,  a total of 47 pastors attended. They traveled from various regions of Benin, riding on motorcycles for miles and miles to participate in this vital training.
Leonard shared the vision of No More Crumbs and the History of Sunday School through our curriculum. He used an engaging illustration involving tossing bread to depict the concept of crumbs and the feelings associated with providing inadequate spiritual resources to God's children.

Session 1: Theology of Children
Leaders learned what scripture says about children, covering both the Old and New Testaments. Emphasis was placed on the inherent value of children in God's eyes, reinforcing their significance in the faith community.
Session 2: Knowing the Shepherd's Voice
Many participants expressed surprise at the idea that God desires a personal relationship where He speaks to everyone in a variety of ways. Many engaged in an exercise where they received pictures or messages from God, which they then illustrated on paper.
Session 3: Ministering to Children

This session highlighted the unique creation of every child and the importance of recognizing their purpose. An emphasis was placed on avoiding negative labeling due to unique behaviors. The concept of discipline was distinguished from punishment, which calls for a shift in mindset towards nurturing and guiding children positively and with love. Many attendees responded enthusiastically, expressing their commitment to change the narrative in Benin regarding how children are perceived and treated.

Day 2
The second day of training had a remarkable turnout of 112 pastors from both Benin (80) and Togo (32), despite the heavy rainfall. After the first day, pastors were calling their fellow pastors to come and join because it was so life changing.

They began the day with reflections and a recap of the previous day’s materials. Many expressed their surprise at the distinctions drawn between punishment and discipline, leading to significant revelations. Two pastors shared their repentance for adopting a brutal approach to parenting, believing it was the only way to mold their children. (Caning children is a deep rooted part of African culture.)

Several pastors shed tears while confessing their neglect of  ministering to children. It became clear that a pervasive myth existed among some attendees: the belief that children can only serve God when they reach a certain age. This realization prompted a commitment to embrace and nurture the spiritual potential of even the most stubborn children.

A notable moment was when pastors recognized their own shortcomings in raising their own children and an understanding that God created every generation with unique mandates, particularly concerning Generation Z. Many promised to be more accepting and supportive of this generation, allowing them to serve within the church.

The testimonies shared highlighted a significant shift in mindset regarding children. Pastors expressed gratitude for the teachings, which allowed them to view children through God's eyes, fostering a renewed commitment to their ministry.

In light of the impact this module has had, many pastors suggested translating the material into various local languages. They believe this will help to cultivate a new kingdom culture throughout Benin. Additionally, there were enthusiastic requests for expanding Equipping the Next Generation to reach more villages.
Thanks to all of you that prayed and donated funds for this trip! We are looking forward to many future opportunities to teach this module in Africa.

Hope this newsletter finds all of you well and enjoying this Fall season, although it doesn’t seem much like Fall here in Southern California with the high temperatures!
Since returning from South Africa and Ghana, the last few months have been spent building and expanding our No More Crumbs Team. We are excited about what the future holds for the ministry and will cover more of this in our next newsletter.
Next Monday October 23rd - October 29th, Colleen will be in Arizona to do some teaching and ministry on the White River Apache Reservation in Slow Low and Navajo Nation in Kayenta. This is an amazing opportunity to connect with two tribes of Indigenous People and build relationships that we hope will bring about ongoing partnerships and ministry opportunities.

We are partnering with Hope Sound Collective, a ministry started by Rachel Lee, who Colleen met through church. Rachel has been doing worship nights and helping with Youth Camps in these places for a number of years and has built some strong relationships with the church leaders.

Ministering to Indigenous People has been on our heart for some time now and we are thrilled that God has opened the doors for us to partner with Rachel and the ministry. Colleen will be teaching the “Brick-Upon-Brick” identity series in these places as there is a real need for youth to know their God-given identity as there are so many layers of lies that many believe.
If you would like to receive daily updates from Colleen while she is ministering, please simply respond to this newsletter. As always, we appreciate your prayers and support.

The holidays are upon us, with Thanksgiving just a few days away. We want to take this opportunity to thank all who support us through prayer and finances.

It has been a very interesting year for ministry for many. With travel shut down, we have been ministering from home and using some of our finances to support four ministries who have been doing great things in the midst of these challenging times.
We would like to update you on our work and partnerships:
Picture
This year we videotaped Colleen teaching the School of Ministry Module she wrote - Equipping the Next Generation. SOM has completed edits and this important module is now available to SOM schools around the world. This was a major answer to prayer since we can’t physically go teach with travel restrictions.
Picture
We continued to partner with Voice of Compassion in India and this year we helped to  feed numerous families in dire need in the rural villages that Voice of Compassion has taught our curriculum. This partnership saved lives and sowed seeds of love and compassion into those impacted by the pandemic.
Picture
House of the Heroes in the Philippines has been our partner for 11 years. We were thrilled to help financially as they moved to a new higher ground location where flooding would no longer be an issue. We love that they care for the orphaned and at risk children and youth in their area. It is our heart at NMC to provide for both the physical and spiritual needs of children around the world.
Picture
Hanan’s Children’s Facilities in Masaka, Uganda is bringing holistic healthcare to the both children and pregnant women in a much needed area. We met Leonard Ssemazzi, the director of these clinics, in October of 2016 when he served as the interpreter for the SOM school there. At that time, he was finishing schooling to become a Nurse Practitioner. He had a dream to start a clinic that would minister to the body, soul, mind and spirit. He has since opened two clinics and helped hundreds of children and pregnant women that would have otherwise had no healthcare. It’s a privilege to partner with this young man who has given his life to serving others both physically and spiritually.
Picture
Basil Kupersamy, one of our Board members, began serving in a ministry at his church earlier this year in order to help meet some needs in his local community.
Cornerstone Ministries is part of House of Prayer located in Benoni, South Africa. They have blessed many children, elderly and families this year by providing food parcels. Many of these people were struggling to find their next meal and NMC was happy to help meet some of these needs by partnering with this church ministry.

We are so blessed to have been able to partner with these ministries and impact hundreds of people. Thank you once again for your commitment to supporting No More Crumbs Ministry and may you have a joyful and blessed holiday season.

"Thanks teacher Colleen for your continuing willingness to support me with more lessons. Last year you taught me a very very important module at the School of Ministry in Soroti Centre, Uganda “Equipping the Next Generation", which I believe to be my guide in children's ministry. What I learned has opened my understanding and it has made me develop a desire to be dedicated to training young people in our village church to be able to recognize God's voice, train them to know their spiritual gifts, thus, they become leaders! I have started a children's ministry in our church where I am able to teach them the Bible and other things they haven't had a chance to hear in ministry. May God Bless You!"

I just wanted to say a big Thank - you for your teaching it has really impacted me and our church. We came away from the first training all excited. After No More crumbs I really felt now is the time. I thought it would be very hard to explain to our church what we wanted to do. Praise God this was not the case. We have a prayer meeting before church and yesterday we prayed for the children and the children's work. The rest of the church prayed and prophesied over us and they caught the vision and believed our kids would be taking part in our service in a short time!!! I was so excited!! I pray blessing on you and your teams to continue training mighty warriors.

I just again wanted to say a big thank you to both of you for all your preparation, time and love for our children. We see the kids walking the streets and going to school with their keys around their necks, and it's a wonderful reminder of the week they had and the input they received into their lives. This last Sunday morning we got all the kids who were at the YLTT training to come to the front during worship and gave them all a piece of paper and drawing materials and asked them to listen for what God was saying to us as a church and make a picture of it. They shared some quite profound things with us while holding their pictures up!!

I just wanted to again say thank you so much for all the hard work you put into last week's conference in Atlanta and for being so open and willing to share everything God has shown you. I learned so much and I'm amazed at just how much closer to God I've grown as a result of those few days. Being able to see God at work through all of you and also experiencing Him for myself (hearing Him speak so clearly to me several times, especially during the 48 MOP) has changed my perspective and my outlook and has given me an excitement and an anticipation in God that I don't think I've ever had. Thank you!

Thank you so much for all you shared at the conference over the weekend. It was an impactful time and we are still praying through all that we heard. Going to do prophetic circles at our kids ministry meeting this Saturday!

Our children have been blossoming since the YLTT training, you guys did a great job!  They have courage to go to the front in church and give a picture or a word.  It has been such a blessing to the other parents and kids. We've been speaking to the Sunday school kids and some of them have come to us with pictures and words as well.

Thank you for the training manual, it comes just in time! I have talked over what I learned during that week with one of our Elders and am excited about 'No More Crumbs!' God has a very good plan for His children and it is wonderful what He will do. Thank you for your help & what you have imparted to the 'adults' too.
